APPLICATION STEPS

• Complete thorough dry nail prep.
• Scrub with Magpie Prep & Dehydrate liquid.
• Apply a thin base layer of GMS+ and cure for 60 seconds.
• The second coat can be applied slightly thicker with a very small bead to create natural structure or kept thinner. When applying your small bead apply WITH or WITHOUT slip layer for faster or slower work time.
• Cure for 60 seconds.
• Finish file if required. Apply chosen gel colour or top coat and finish.

Yes. GMS+ has its own built in base so there is no need to use any other base coat alongside GMS+.

Yes. GMS+ is a fantastic HEMA free base coat option which can be used alongside any of our other gel systems.

WHEN WOULD I CHOOSE GMS+ OVER STANDARD GMS?
At Magpie, we promote the use of prescriptive manicures, recognising that a single product may not meet the diverse needs of all clients. Our GMS+ base coat is our most robust option to date, specifically designed for clients with weak nails who require additional strength compared to our standard GMS+ formula. If any clients encounter pocket lifting with GMS, we suggest transitioning them to our enhanced GMS+ formula for better results.
WHEN WOULD I CHOOSE GMS+ OVER BUILD IT?
GMS+ serves as a middle ground between the original GMS and Build It, offering enhanced strength compared to the original formula. Unlike builder gels, it is intended for application in a thin layer. This product is ideal for clients seeking a robust solution with minimal bulk, especially if they have faced issues like pocket lifting or if Build It is not a suitable option for them. Remember, GMS+ can be utilised as a strong base layer in conjunction with Build It for longer nails and extensions.
